The Commercial Finance Accountant is a valued member of the Finance team, contributing to the financial management of all aspects of client business for Collinson in Australia. The role has a direct reporting line to the Finance Manager, but has regular direct interaction with:
From a management accounting perspective, the Commercial Finance Accountant controls the actual results for revenue, cost of sales and direct staff costs by client and delivers accurate and timely analysis of results against forecasts and budgets
While focused on the relationship with the Client Services team, the position must provide objective, clear analysis to ensure prospective and current projects are reported on and managed according to their contracts and agreements.
The Commercial Finance Accountant will be requested to provide in depth analytical reporting to local, regional and global management to better communicate variances and changes to the business project and client needs on a regular basis.
The position will also require an ability to create clear, concise and adaptable excel models for new business opportunities, or potential changes to commercial terms with clients. The Commercial Finance Accountant would need to be comfortable presenting the models to Regional and Global management with thorough understanding of underlying assumptions, and the excel models will need to provide immediate impacts of assumption changes requested by management.
