Bear Cottage Children's Hospice is situated in Manly and cares for children with life limiting conditions and their families in a home like environment. The Administrative Officer will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the Cottage, including general secretarial and administrative support to the relevant people. Candidates should have experience in providing high level administrative support in a team environment. Strong communication and computer skills required.
The Administration Officer plays a vital role in supporting the NUM, Business Manager, Allied Health Staff and other Level I Managers.
Bear Cottage is an initiative of CHW and is part of the SCHN. It is remotely located in Manly NSW, and as such the Managers and Staff do not have ready access to administrative facilities at CHW. The Administrative Officer will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the Cottage, including general secretarial and administrative support.
What you'll be doing
Demonstrated experience in providing high level administrative support in a team environment.
Proven capacity to operate effectively in an environment demanding confidentiality and discretion in issues management.
Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and a professional approach in dealing with senior managers and clinicians.
Proven proficiency in using PC based software including proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Knowledge of Oracle would be advantageous, though not essential
High level communication skills, including sound negotiation, interpersonal and liaison skills.
Demonstrated experience in managing and maintaining both websites and other social media channels for commercial enterprises.
Proven high level of organisational skills including the ability to effectively prioritise workload meet deadlines adapt to changing priorities and problem solve.
Demonstrated capacity to work independently and as a member of a team and exercise initiative and judgment in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
