Our client is a family owned and operated allied health provider based in Townsville with clinics throughout Queensland.  They pride themselves on providing the best possible care and outcomes to their patients, allowing them to maintain quality of life.

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, action-oriented Client Services Officer with a genuine desire to deliver exceptional patient care and exceptional attention to detail (which you will get the chance to prove in your application). 

 

As part of the support team, you will be responsible for:

  • Scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Meeting and greeting patients
  • Inbound and outbound phone calls
  • Taking payments and handling Medicare claims
  • Providing maintenance and troubleshooting support for patient devices
  • Handling mail and providing general administrative support as required

 

There is also scope to learn and develop your career in the position, to take on additional responsibilities as you grow within the team. 

 

To keep pace in this busy clinic the following skills are essential to fill the role:

 

  • Proven ability to maintain high attention to detail while juggling multiple tasks
  • Minimum 2 years’ previous experience in a reception/administration role (no experience in the health care industry is required)
  • The ability to think on your feet so that you are confident in your ability to work autonomously
  • Exceptional communication skills with an empathetic and caring patient service approach
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to build rapport with a wide range of patients both face to face and over the phone
  • Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to learn booking system
  • Fast typing (minimum 60 wpm) and ability to quickly document phone enquiries
  • Professional personal presentation
  • Willingness to learn and develop your career

 

Hours of work are 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday. 

A stylish corporate uniform is provided.
