Administrative Officer

Direct Care Resources, a leading SE Queensland care provider requires an Admin Officer on a 6 week contract (full time hours) with a high likelihood of extension.

We endeavour to deliver client-focused service and, through providing a high level of personal care, aim to be recognised as a provider of choice by current and potential clients, their families and government agencies both locally and nationally.

The duties of the role are as follows:

  • Answering incoming calls and directing phone calls as appropriate or taking messages.
  • Distribute the incoming mail appropriately.
  • Outgoing mail register.
  • Solely responsible for all incoming faxes and mail.
  • Jointly responsible for actioning requests received to the admin inbox.
  • Filing Disability documentation via info as per the filing procedure.
  • Mailing stationery and documents as requested.
  • Updating and distributing office phone register/list as required.
  • Ad hoc tasks as instructed by the manager
  • SMS Staff Awareness Register (storms, floods, reminders, etc)
  • Jointly responsible for archiving and records management.
  • New client/house procedure
  • Filing Fire Plans and updating the Client Management System.

About you:

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Strong technical skills (highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ideally have experience in a fast pace work environment/industry.
  • Willingness to obtain clearance checks (NDIS Worker Screening, Blue Card, & LCS2)
  • Able to both work autonomously and as a team.
  • Great communication skills.
