The opportunity

We are looking for an entry-level Executive Assistant within our Business Support Centre - Administrative Services (BSC – AS) Team in Sydney or Melbourne. This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis, for a permanent contract. 

The objective of this role is to provide administrative and secretarial services to senior executives within Oceania, primarily Senior Managers and Associate Directors. You will be required to work in a team environment providing high quality, consistent and efficient administrative support in line with a set scope of services. These services will be delivered in a proactive and collaborative manner, across multiple geographies and service lines in a local and virtual environment.  


Your key responsibilities

  • Expense preparation and management
  • Meetings Management
  • Supporting the administrative processing of Defence Security Clearance applications
  • Travel Management
  • Events Management
  • Client relationship management and support
  • General Support
  • Liaise and work with EAs in the team, other ESS team members and the broader EY network


Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Australian Citizenship given this position works with Government clients and requires an Australian Government security clearance
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of work experience in a team environment and/or handling secretarial services
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and MS Outlook and MS Teams
  • Strong multi-tasking, prioritisation, organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Proven customer service focus 
  • The ability to work both virtually and in an office-based environment 

Ideally, you’ll also have to be

  • Comfortable using database systems
  • A strong team player who is comfortable working collaboratively with others and can interact with senior management
  • Able to work in a rapidly changing environment and prioritise accordingly
  • Self-starter, who can manage with minimal direction
