The Role

The Project Manager will use their project management/electrical experience within the Operations team and support the Senior Project Manager and Project Director in overseeing the project delivery of electrical, energy, civil and renewable projects based in NSW, ensuring that these projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality.

Reporting to the Project Director, this role will be a key contributor in:

  • Overseeing all HSE requirements including SWMS review, development of HSE plan & conducting audits as required. Ensure the site is operating in a safe manner;
  • Organising site access, site logistics and set up of site facilities alongside the Site Manager;
  • Organising initial surveys (dilapidation reports, structural engineering, infrastructure reviews, geotech, soil and pile testing as required);
  • Preparing site layout and traffic management plans as required;
  • Attending/chairing project control meetings including design reviews and site walk-throughs
  • Assist in preparing project finance reports and cashflows;
  • Assist the project is being installed at a high standard, is delivered on time and within budget;
  • Ensure subcontractor accountability for HSE matters, delivery timeline and quality workmanship;
  • Preparing scope of works/documentation for subcontractors;
  • Updating and submitting construction schedules to the client;
  • Regular reporting and liaising with client;
  • Understanding and enforcement of contract and technical specifications;
  • Control and review of onsite checklists and commissioning;
  • Organisation of revised structural and electrical designs as required;
  • Organisation and implementation of DNSP requirements as required;
  • Any other duties as requested by the company.

Skills & Experience

The role will ideally suit an experienced Project Manager with a positive can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be able to problem solve, have a proactive work ethic coupled with the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Qualification in electrical trade/project management/engineering or similar discipline highly desirable
  • Ideally five years’ experience in construction/renewable energy/project management/engineering or similar
  • Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) and large-scale solar projects
  • Sound scheduling experience
  • Sound finance/budgetary experience
  • Confident and competent using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Superior attention to detail with exceptional organisational skills and capabilities
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
