Student Experience Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated, career focused Student Experience Officer to join our friendly and supportive team.

In this role you will be responsible for processing student applications, generating Provider Registration and International Student Management System (PRISMS) documentation, handling potential and current student enquiries, assisting with student enrolment and orientation programs, processing academic documentation and record-keeping.    

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing students.
  • Providing and assisting students with general information about courses and all enrolment procedures.
  • Assessing applications for admission in accordance with Kent Institute Australia’s Student Selection and Admission Policy and Procedures.
  • Ensuring the issuance of accurate electronic Confirmation of Enrolments (e-CoEs) via PRISMS within specified turnaround times.
  • Assist students in all areas of their enrolment (processing necessary paperwork, interpreting data and conveying accurate information regarding attendance, course progress and payments).
  • Processing course variations, updating student contact details and Tuition Protection Service (TPS) reporting via PRISMS and College’s Student Information System. 
  • Records management and updating of College database and maintaining student files 
  • Perform Administrative/Reception functions including telephone enquiries. 
  • In consultation with Academic Team, providing guidance and advice to students related to course changes, withdrawals and deferments.
  • Providing general assistance to all students and continually improve their student experience at the college 

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Knowledge of RTO Standards 2015, the ESOS legislative framework and the National Code 2018
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), organisational and time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in completing all tasks 
  • Demonstrated competence applying computerised systems to manage transactional activities, data, client related records 
  • Meeting deadlines in monitoring student attendance and academic progress 

Essential attributes: 

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), organisational and time management skills
  • Advanced computer skills – Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint (minimum)
  • Sociable and motivated to assist students 
  • Adaptable and able to work in a diverse team
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to adhere to policies and procedures

Desired criteria:

  • Experience in Student Services in a VET college highly regarded
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Knowledge of TEAMS database
