The Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) is one of the country's largest football associations with 18,000 + registered players, 1300 + teams and 30 member clubs. About the role

Working under the supervision of the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will assist in the promotion of activities of the Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) and its XLR8 Player Development service.

This position is part-time (approx. 12 hours per week) on a fixed term basis until September 30, 2022. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Managing XLR8 social media platforms, including content schedule and execution and community management, under the supervision of the Marketing and Communications Manager.
  • Assist in managing the NSFA/XLR8 websites, ensuring information is current and engaging news stories are added regularly.
  • Coordinate, create and distribute email newsletters for NSFA and XLR8 in collaboration with other staff members.
  • Working with the Marketing and Communications Manager on content planning and execution, including photography for programs as required.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Assist in the scheduling and creation of content for NSFA social media platforms.
  • Assist in analysing and evaluating data from digital communication activities monthly to provide insights and recommendations in line with the marketing and communications plan.
  • Assist in the servicing of sponsorship and charity partnership agreements.

Please note: Due to the nature of the sport, some out-of-hours work may be required around event and program schedules.

Experience and Knowledge Required

The ideal candidate will have knowledge on the basics of content creation for marketing and communications platforms, gained either through study or practical experience. You readily demonstrate the ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects within deadlines.

This position is well-suited to a final-year tertiary student or a recent graduate.
