The Commercial Sales Representative, is deemed a pivotal role within the business, having an opportunity to gain an in-depth knowledge of our business and painting services; creating the framework for guiding the business into key market sectors.  The knowledge and skills acquired, along with your existing skills/attributes and positive customer management skills will assist you to grow our business. 

As a Commercial Sales Representative with unquestionable integrity, you will be the first line of communication with our clients.  As a real people person, you will create strong working relationships and be able to identify client needs and successfully align these with our services.

Working both autonomously and as part of a team, you will display your motivated, strategic and resourceful nature to achieve results. Your focus will be on the growth and development of new business as well as continuing to build existing revenue within the commercial repaint industry across Greater Melbourne.

In brief – you will seek out and connect with clients, visit facilities, assess needs, estimate project requirements and develop written project proposals. When successful, hand over projects to an operations department whilst continuing as a key stakeholder in the client relationship. 

We are looking for a person with:

  • A great attitude, with a strong attention to detail
  • Proven knowledge and sales experience in the painting, facility maintenance or construction industry
  • Experience in building relationships with potential clients via cold calls, networking and other opportunities
  • History of client sales pipeline management in commercial business to business sales
  • Experience in developing sales channels within the education, government, aged care / retirement, health, property management, retail or general commercial sectors
  • A desire to be seen by commercial clients as a trusted advisor who can and does help them with their needs
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with ‘figures’, capable of measuring, estimating and preparing quotations and client proposals to a professional standard
  • Proficiency in using electronic software programs (Office 365, CRM)
  • Proven experience in negotiating and closing deals at all organisational levels
  • Experience in developing new sales streams and marketing strategies
  • Proven ability to analyse processes and ensure continuous improvement
  • Confidence working in and out of a small office environment
